Call for Art:
Forever Young Picture Book Art Exhibition

The Mosesian Center for the Arts invites artists to submit original work to our upcoming “Forever Young” Picture Book Art Exhibition.

Picture books introduce children to a love of art. Steven Withrow of Illustrating Picture books notes... "Today’s picture book [artists] are some of the world’s most innovative visual artists, pushing boundaries with their use of both traditional and digital tools and techniques." And we agree. This juried exhibition will showcase a broad array of styles and mediums including both published and non-published work and will reach a broad audience including young and old alike.

Picture book art may be submitted in the following categories: Published, Self Published, or Seeking Publication. Traditional and digitally produced artwork submissions are permissible. Work that is conceptual only is also permitted in the “Seeking Publication” category (for example kid friendly illustration that is in idea phase).

Exhibiting artists will have the opportunity to show their work in the Exhibition as well as include inventory of their work, prints and/or books, in our Picture Book Pop-up Shop. Additionally, select artists will have the opportunity to join us on Thursday afternoons this summer to promote their work through book readings, signings and sales at the Mosesian Center for the Arts tent at the Watertown Farmers Market on the lawn in front of the center.

Submission Deadline: June 19, 2017
Jury Selection Notification: June 27, 2017

Public Opening Reception:  TBD
Show Closes: September 8, 2017

Please note that the Mosesian Center for the Arts reserves the right to make minor adjustments to the exhibition timeline. Artists will be notified of final dates in their acceptance letters.
